At Forest City Academy, we believe high-quality, mastery-based education should be accessible to any family in Cleveland. Because of Ohio’s scholarship programs, your out-of-pocket cost is often significantly lower than the total cost of tuition. While other schools may seek to be “elite” by pricing families out, we seek to be exceptional by who we price in.
Our average family pays less than $2,500 out of pocket.
Families utilize one of the following state scholarships to cover the first $6,166 of tuition :
EdChoice Expansion Scholarship: Available to all Ohio students based on household income.
Cleveland Scholarship: Available to students residing within the Cleveland Metropolitan School District.
After applying your scholarship, other financial aid is also available. The remaining out-of-pocket family contribution typically ranges from $0 to $5,800.
This amount is determined by your household income level and the specific scholarship awarded. We are committed to financial transparency and will sit down with you to walk through the math and the paperwork together.
Other Fees
1. Foundations & Enrichment Fee: $125
This fee ensures that no student is left behind during our most memorable learning moments (at our original location, this would be things like Taco Tuesday at Cilantro, breakfast at the Inn on Coventry, healthy snacks, and other enrichment. This ensures each child’s participation in all school-wide events and experiences.
2. Instructional Materials Fee: $65
Because we prioritize a "tech-lite," high-engagement curriculum, we utilize a significant amount of physical materials. This fee ensures your child has the best tools for learning without you having to shop for specialized supplies.How it Works: Our 3-Step Process
3. Registration Fee: $50 (waived for returning students and if enrolled by 4/30)

2. Enroll & Navigate the Scholarship If we decide it’s a great match, we move to enrollment. We don’t expect you to be an expert on state paperwork; we will walk through the EdChoice or Cleveland Scholarship application process with you step-by-step.
3. Finalize Your Plan Once the scholarship is awarded, we will finalize your family’s specific contribution based on your award tier and set up a payment plan that works for you.
